Pharmacy student Syarifah Balqis Nuwsath selected for Executive Apprentice 2.0 programme
Universitas Sumatera Utara pharmacy student to undergo a one-month executive placement at the office of Plantation and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad under the Executive Apprentice 2.0 initiative.

KUALA LUMPUR, July 27 — Pharmacy undergraduate Syarifah Balqis Nuwsath has been selected to participate in the Executive Apprentice 2.0 Programme 2026, an initiative aimed at providing young professionals with direct exposure to leadership, governance and public administration.
According to an official placement offer issued by the Secretariat of UMNO Overseas Club, Syarifah Balqis will undergo a one-month executive attachment beginning 3 August 2026, subject to operational requirements, at the office of Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, Minister of Plantation and Commodities and Chief of UMNO Wanita.
The Executive Apprentice 2.0 programme is a continuation of an earlier initiative introduced to provide promising young Malaysians with practical experience in government administration, organisational management and policymaking through placements in ministerial offices, government agencies and government-linked companies.
During the programme, participants are expected to gain first-hand exposure to executive decision-making processes, organisational governance and public service delivery while working alongside senior leadership teams.
Syarifah Balqis, who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara, was among the successful applicants selected for this year's intake. The programme also seeks to strengthen participants' professional networks while preparing future leaders with practical administrative experience.
The placement is expected to run for one month, with participants receiving allowances subject to the policies of the respective ministry or agency.
The organising secretariat described the programme as a platform to develop capable young leaders through structured exposure to leadership, governance and public sector administration, while congratulating successful candidates on their selection.
